Biography

I have enjoyed woodworking since I was a kid, but didn't do any turning until the mid-80's when I was "volunteered" to make a 4 ft tall candlestand for a church in Ketchikan, AK. I used an old Craftsman lathe and tools that I had inherited from my Dad and had NO prior experience, which probably explains how I managed to snap a thin bowl gouge in two. I didn't do much additional turning until around 2011 when I met friends who encouraged me to join NWW.....and the rest is history. I am an eclectic turner who enjoys trying out new methods and techniques. However, I would be the first to admit that I am the "master of none." I strive to be a bit better than I was the day before.
